Pricing for the whole platform. Not per surface.
Every paid plan includes the BPMN 2.0 process engine and the DMN 1.5 decision engine, with one credit pool across both. Try the platform locally with the dev-server Docker image, buy a SaaS tier below, or contact us for an Enterprise trial.
Simple, Transparent Pricing
How credits work
One credit pool covers DMN evaluations and BPMN execution steps. We bill on visible operations, not background work — replay, history reads, and modeling are free.
| Operation | Cost | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| DMN evaluation / simulation | 1 credit + duration | 1 credit per call, plus 1 additional credit for every 100ms over the first 100ms. Batch and ad-hoc design evaluations bill the same way. |
| BPMN process instance start | 1 credit | per top-level process started. |
| BPMN call activity | 1 credit | per child workflow started by a call activity. |
| BPMN service task | 1 credit | per service-task / external-job completion. |
| BPMN user task | 1 credit | per user-task completion. |
| BPMN timer fire | 1 credit | per timer fire — boundary, intermediate catch, or event subprocess. |
| BPMN message / signal publish | 1 credit | per publish, whether thrown by the engine or via the API. |
| Replay / history queries | Free | reading execution history, replay scrubbing, and modeling do not consume credits. |
Credit costs are indicative. Live cost previews per definition are visible inside the platform on the project's Operations tab.
Pricing FAQ
What happens when I run out of credits?
With overage enabled (default), execution continues and additional credits are billed at your tier's overage rate at the end of the cycle. With overage disabled, evaluations and process steps return a quota error until the next cycle. You can flip overage at any time in your billing settings.
Are BPMN and DMN priced separately?
No. Every plan includes both surfaces and both share the same credit pool. A BPMN process that calls DMN decisions through business-rule tasks bills the process steps and the decisions out of one bucket.
Can I try the platform before buying?
Yes. The dev-server Docker image runs the full platform locally — both BPMN and DMN engines, the modeler, and the operations UI — so you can evaluate everything end-to-end without an account. For a longer-running Enterprise trial in your own environment with our support, reach out to support@quantumbpm.com.
Do you offer annual billing or volume discounts?
Yes — annual billing and credit-bundle discounts are available on Starter and Scale, and the Enterprise tier is fully custom. Reach out to sales@quantumbpm.com.
Who handles payment and refunds?
Our Merchant of Record is Paddle. Paddle handles checkout, invoicing, taxes, and refunds — refund requests are governed by their terms (typically within 14 days for EU consumers).
Can I change plans later?
Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately and are pro-rated. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing cycle. Cancellation gives you 30 days to retrieve your data before deletion.
